Redmi 5 gets TENAA certification. Just yesterday, we have seen more leaks about the upcoming Redmi 5. First it was press renders that carried the phone before the company released a teaser through it Weibo account, confirming the launch date to be December 7.
Ahead of the December 7 launch date, the device has received TENNA certification, the first for every device that will be making its way to the Chinese market. So now, we are left with some new images with some of the specs confirmed.
The certification website has confirmed the 5.7-inch full view display of 720 x 1440p resolution, octa core chipset which clocked at 1.8GHz, single 12MP camera shooter, LED flash and identification scanner. Sitting on the front for selfie lovers is 5MP snapper.
The unit will run Android 7.1.2 Nougat, based on MIUI, and will have three memory configurations; 2/3/4GB RAM and 16/32/64GB ROM. There will be a space for memory expansion using microSD, while power will be delivered through 3200mAh battery.
The phone will be available in multiple colors – black, rose gold, gold, white, blue, red, pink, gray, and silver, having a dimension of 151.8 x 72.8 x 7.7 and weighing 157g. Yesterday the company revealed the pricing for the unit, which is said to be about 151$.
