Xiaomi Redmi 5 plus (Redmi Note 5) launched in China on December 2017 and officially unveiled in India on the earlier months of 2018 has just started receiving another update – MIUI 184.108.40.206, barely 2 weeks after the last update – MIUI V.220.127.116.11 arrived the same device.
The latest update is arriving with a version number MIUI 18.104.22.168 NEGCNFD, weighing a total of 65MB and coming along with optimized system performance and some bug fixes. However, it didn’t point out directly what the bugs are but they are likely to be the fixes for “security has stopped” and “Recommendation” turning on atomically in the browser.
Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus is expected to receive the MIUI 10 update later this month and is advisable that users should download and install the MIUI 22.214.171.124 NEGCNFD update for an easy upgrade when MIUI 10 update finally arrives.
It has been a commendable support from Xiaomi as the Redmi 5 Plus has received not less than 12 updates since the official release. Meanwhile, if you haven’t received the update yet, then navigate to setting>>>my device>>MIUI to scan for new update.
