After the official unveiling of MI 9, makes it the second time a Xiaomi device, after MI Mix 3 is debuting with Android 9 OS. However, some devices which include MI 8, POCO F1, MI Mix 2s, have already received the Android 9 update based on MIUI 10. Now, the update is hitting MI MAX 3 with a version number MIUI 10.2.1.0 PEDCNXM and weighs 2.2GB.
The Xiaomi MI MAX 3 debuted last year after the Redmi 6-series. It has a massive 6.9-inch display and runs Android 8.1 on MIUI 10 skin. In October, Xiaomi started recruiting Beta Testers for the Max 3 Android 9 program, and now the update has started rolling out. The MIUI 10.2.1.0 PEDCNXM update is a stable version, but unfortunately, there are no notable changes, as is on the same MIUI 10 custom skin.
The update is currently been rolled out to all compatible device and will require you to download over a Wi-Fi because of the huge data size. You can also flash the MIUI 10.2.1.0 PEDCNXM via TWRP or MiFlash tool but be sure can find your way around. Note, always backup your data before flashing any ROM to avoid loss of data.
If you’re an MI Max 3 user, download the stable update here. Again, is weighs 2.2GB and is necessary you download over a Wi-Fi.
