Today makes it exactly eight weeks since the last stable update was rolled out to the Redmi 5 Plus, and now a new stable update with a version number MIUI 10.2.4.0 OEGCNXM has started arriving. The update weighs about 110MB, coming along with some minor fix for “Sync now” button.

How you’d know if you’re experiencing the bug is when some contacts start missing on your device especially if an email is your mode of storage. However, the new update has now fixed the bug and you’ll now experience smooth syncing process on your device.
Android Security Patch Level
The update has also updated the Android Security Patch Level, is now dated 2019-02-05. Apart from those few changes and fix no other features came along with the MIUI 10.2.4.0 OEGCNXM stable, but you continue to enjoy fluent operations on the device.
Meanwhile, currently receiving the update is Redmi 5 Plus still running official Chinese ROM. To download, you need to navigate to settings and from there access the updater app and scan for the new update.
The Redmi 5 Plus debuted with a 5.99-inch display of 2160 x 1080 px resolution. Under the hood is Snapdragon 636 SoC paired with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage which supports memory expansion. The camera has a single 12MP primary lens and 5MP selfie camera while the battery is a 4000mAh and charges through Micro USB port.
The device runs MIUI 9 based on Android 7.2 Nougat but has received several updates and is now on MIUI 10.2.4.0 OEGCNXM.
