The Korean brand, Samsung, and other phone leading brands have been dishing out updates to their devices since the dawn of the new year. The phone brands never failed to release security patches and updates when available. Just recently, a new Android OS, Android 13 has been announced. This article is going to highlight a few interesting features of the Android 13 we should expect in devices with the OS.
The Android 13 Beta 1 has been rolled out to some eligible developers as we expect its public release in June. And many tech lovers can’t wait to get in on the sweet features of the new Android OS. Let’s dive into the interesting features of the Android 13.
Interesting features of the Android 13
Although, we have seen the Android 12 features and it packs unique feats. But let’s take a closer look at Android 13. A few interesting features of the Android 13 have been listed below.
Improved security and privacy control
Android 13 Beta 1 includes privacy permissions APIs for on-device audio, images, and videos. In the previous versions of Android OS, Apps could only request access to the external storage, which of course houses all the files, media, and documents present in the device. But according to the notebook-check net, the new Android version gives users more precise permissions. For instance, it prevents a video streaming app from having to request access to users’ photos.
Smart home access
This is one interesting feature of the Android 13 in which users can access their home control panel without having to unlock their devices. This function can be toggled on via the display menu in the settings app. Some switches on the control panel can now be accessed without authentication of any sort.
Material You palette
This particular feature is kind of similar to an exclusive color palette feature on the Android 12-based OneUI 4.1 update. The Material You palette feature will be available on select devices including the Pixel 6. It provides you with a variety of software themes, and wallpaper settings.
Other features of the Android 13 include Audio and media player improvements plus enhancements in the Clipboard UI. We will still keep an eye out for notable features before it is released sometime in June.
