Qualcomm Snapdragon 768G is the successor of the high-performing Snapdragon 765 SoC. It’s the first Qualcomm mid-range chip to support 5G connectivity and helped close the gap with premium phones. Now, Snapdragon 768G phones will continue on that path, and according to the company, the Chipset boasts up to 15% uplift performance compared to the predecessor.

The SD 768G SoC is built in a 7nm manufacturing process and uses Kryo 475 cores with a frequency speed of up to 2.8GHz. Also, there’s an improvement in graphics rendering, thanks to the improved Adreno 620 GPU, which saw an optimization of about 15%.

All Snapdragon 768 phones will support Qualcomm 5th generation AI Engine. It will help deliver a sophisticated mobile experience, while the X52 modem makes sure you get very fast internet connectivity. According to reports, it would achieve up to 2.7Gbps download speed and 1.6Gbps uploads. It will support 5G features such as mmWave, sub-6GHz, 5G NA and 5G NSA modes, TDD and FDD bands with DSS, 5G roaming, and multi-sim support.

Behind the camera performance of the SD 768 phones is the Spectra 355ISP. It can support a single 192MP camera and will shoot slo-mo videos at 720p@40fps. There’s also support for 4K HDR video capture with portrait mode.

On the display, the Chip will support QHD+ @ 60Hz and up to 120Hz when capped at FHD+.Other features of the SoC include Wi-Fi 6, Quick Charge 4+, NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, and Aqstic Audio technology.

Xiaomi, once again, becomes the first OEM to debut a Snapdragon 768G phone. The device is a rebranded Redmi K30, but with a speedier CPU. It’s a 6.67-inch FHD+ IPS display with an oval cutout for dual – 20MP and 2MP selfie camera.

Around the back panel is a Quad-camera, arranged in a circular housing. It consists of a primary 64MP, paired with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, 5MP depth, and 2MP macro sensor.

Inside the 8.8mm thick Redmi K30 5G Racing Edition is a 4500mAh battery. It supports 30W wired charging and will deliver a fully charged battery in 64 minutes. The device is available in Mint, Blue, Red, Purple, and White colors.
