Xiaomi is widely known for offering value for money budget phones, and it’s Android One series is no exception. The Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite debuted a couple of years ago running pure Android 8.1 Oreo and has received two OS upgrades. However, both upgrades have caused some nuisances, but it seems the Android 10 bugs are a hard one to fix for Xiaomi.
Some Mi A2 Lite users are still plagued by the Android 10 bugs. From the feedback on the Mi community forum, the device after the Android 10 update has been facing some frustrating bugs, which are yet to get a fix. We believe the bugs, such as with Mi A3, will get a fix with subsequent updates.
Meanwhile, the bugs plaguing the device include lags in performance, mobile network signal issues, random reboots, microphone not working randomly, slow charging, and may others.
Bugs plaguing Mi A2 Lite
According to Aadil Gillani, a member of the Mi community forum, below are the bugs plaguing Mi A2 Lite.
- Network signal quality changes rapidly
- Wi-Fi signal quality dropped
- Frequent stutter, sub-par performance while scrolling in apps
- Freezing of webpages while browsing in some cases
- Microphone stops working randomly and doesn’t work without disabling Google Voice ‘OK Google’s
- Random reboots
- The device heats up while connected to charging and has made charging slow
- Overall, the performance of the device after the update is bad and still bad
We understand that Xiaomi knows about these bugs plaguing Mi A2 Lite. As such, we expect some of them to get a fix when the June security patch update starts arriving in a few days since the Mi A2 and Mi A3 have received the update already.
Meanwhile, if you’re facing any of the bugs and it’s causing issues interacting with your device, you might need to perform a factory reset. That will fix some of the issues, but remember to take a full backup before that.
