Few Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro users are yet to receive a stable Android update since it was released months ago. The last build, which arrived a few weeks ago, with a version number, MIUI 11.0.4.0 QGGMIXM, arrived with a stable Android 10, but excluded the Indian variants; PGGINXM.

As for when the MIUI 12 update will arrive for the device, it will be from next month. Report from China confirmed that Xiaomi will be closing all office work, including MIUI 12 development because of the Dragon Boat Festival. The break starts from June 26TH to July 2ND, with work resuming from 3RD June. With that, Redmi Note 8 Pro, which is on the second wave of devices to get the MIUI 12 update, will start getting the update early July.
Meanwhile, the global rollout has started with Mi 9T, Mi 9T Pro, Mi 9, Redmi K20, and Redmi K20 currently receiving the update globally.
