Xiaomi promised to start the rollout of the Stable MIUI 12 update this month, and they’ve done exactly that. But from how the company rolls out an update, some regions have to wait for days or maybe weeks. The Xiaomi Mi 9T already received the MIUI 12 Stable update, alongside Mi 9T Pro, and Mi 9. Out of the three phones, only the Mi 9 has received the EEA version of the update.
Meanwhile, there’s a new Xiaomi Mi 9T EEA stable update that’s being rolled out, unfortunately, the update is based on MIUI 11. It carries a build number, MIUI 11.0.6.0 QFJEUXM, and weighs in at 167MB only. The build brings the June security patch and also increased system security while fixing some bugs.
New Xiaomi Mi 9T EEA Stable update; MIUI 11.0.6.0 QFJEUXM Changelog
System
- Updated Android security patch update to June 2020
- Increased System stability
- Reduced System lag
Its frustrating waiting for MIUI 12 only to receive an update still based on MIUI 11. Nevertheless, that remains the Xiaomi policy for rolling out updates. Most times, the EEA users are the last to receive any major update, which can be weeks or months. The good thing is that MIUI 12 now has a stable version and is currently being rolled out in China, and to some global region. It won’t that long again before the EEA version becomes available.
However, there’s always an option if waiting is never your thing. Since the global version is available, you can download the update and manually flash on your device, but you have to unlock the device bootloader. We have added a link here from where you can download the update.
Note: Google Pay, for now, doesn’t work on any phone running any version of the MIUI 12 update. According to a Moderator in the Mi community forum, Developers are working to resolve the issue. It’s recommended that you avoid the MIUI 12 update for now, at least, till the issue is resolved, especially if you make use of Gpay.
