It’s no surprise why the many questions about the Redmi Note 8T Android 10 update. The phone is the same with the regular Redmi Note 8 but offers NFC. Both devices still run Android 9 with the closest they’ve got to receiving Android 10 being the first MIUI 12 Beta update, which was released in June but was quickly pulled due to some issues.
However, the company has since released a fresh MIUI 12 beta for the device ( Redmi Note 8 ), which is based on Android 10. Unfortunately, you will need an authorized Mi account to flash the ROM, if you didn’t enroll for beta testing, or you risk bricking your device trying to flash via unofficial means. Perhaps, you should wait for the public release, which is expected to start rolling out anytime this month.
But while we wait for the stable MIUI 12 for Redmi Note 8T, which is believed to come with Android 10, a new update has just been released for the device. It’s currently on the beta phase, and only selected users are getting the update for now.
The update has a build number, ” MIUI 11.0.10.0 PCXEUXM”, and is aimed at the European users, with other regions expected to starts getting the update in the coming days. However, you can still check your update from System Updates, under settings, and see if it has arrived on your device.
