The deployment of Xiaomi’s latest Android skin – MIUI 12 – has been going on for months now. For some, the rollout has been swift, but most mid-range and entry-level phone users won’t agree with that. And even amid the uncertainty, there’s no official Xiaomi update policy to at least confirm if some of these phones that are yet to receive the update will eventually receive it.
Also, because MIUI 12 and Android upgrades are agnostic, there’s a need for an official Xiaomi update policy, which will enable users to be sure if their phone is eligible for a new Android update. Because of that, we have put up a list of possible Xiaomi phones to receive Android 11. Also, thanks to Xiaomi and Xiaomi News, a telegram channel, we now have an idea of what Xiaomi update policy is like.
Going by the latest photos posted on the group, phones released under the Mi series are eligible for two Android and four MIUI upgrades. The same goes for Mi Mix and Mi Note series. Below are all Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO phones along with how many Android and MIUI upgrades each of them is eligible to receive.

As for the Android upgrades, it portrays how Xiaomi has been rolling out Android updates, and hence, you can confirm from there if your Xiaomi phone is eligible for a new Android update.
