The saga surrounding the deployment of stable MIUI 12 update to the global version of Redmi Note 8 is going down to the last days of October. The Redmi Note 9 Pro users are also waiting for the MIUI 12 update, which according to the Russian Mi community MIUI 12 update tracker, will receive the update this month.
The tracker also alleged that the MIUI 12 update for the Redmi Note 8T will start arriving this month. Of course, the device is now receiving the update in some region, and we expect an extension to other regions in the coming days.
With that, we expect the global version of Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 9 Pro to receive the same treatment. Also, considering that the update has been released for the Chinese branch of Redmi Note 8 and that the Redmi Note 9 Pro already received the MIUI 12 update in India and some parts of Europe, we expect Xiaomi to complete the rollout this month.
With that said, the global version of Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 9 Pro are yet to start receiving the MIUI 12 update. We expect Xiaomi to release the update this month, considering that the update is already live in some regions.
