Xiaomi recently took over from Apple as the third-best smartphone brand based on the latest report released by Counterpoint, IDC, and canalys. Although it can be the fact that Apple delayed the release of the new iPhone 12, Xiaomi, however, has not put a foot wrong since inception. It’s the company’s tenth anniversary this year, and they commemorated with the release of Mi 10 Ultra, Redmi K30 Ultra, and the recently released Redmi K30S, which is already on a high demand.
Like the siblings, Redmi K30 Ultra, the first sale of the Redmi K30S ended in just 60 seconds. And in that time, a total of 100,000 units of the device got sold. The sales were on the Xiaomi store, the official platform of JD.com, Tmall, and Suning, according to Xiaomi vice president, Zeng Xuezhong.
Meanwhile, it’s been said that the Redmi K30S isn’t quite popular in China, but the numbers say otherwise. However, according to Pan Jiutang, Xiaomi executive, the commemorative Redmi K30S is in short supply, and hence, not everyone will be able to purchase it. That probably decreased the demands, but get ready on November 4. The second batch of the device will be arriving.
Interestingly, the device from November 1, which is the first day of the Chinese popular 11:11, will be offered at CNY 2,299 ($343). That’s about a $45 discount, and for that price, it’s the most affordable Snapdragon 865-powered phone.
