The MIUI 12 rollout has been ongoing for a couple of months now, and it doesn’t seem it will be completed very soon, with so many phones yet to start receiving the update for the first time. The Redmi Note 9 Pro, however, has already received the update in some regions. To be specific, those units in Turkey, Russia, India, Global and Indonesia have all received the update remaining those running the EEA ROM to finalize MIUI 12 rollout for the Redmi Note 9 Pro.
According to Alvin Tse, Xiaomi executive in Indonesia, the company will look to finalize MIUI 12 rollout for the Redmi Note 9 Pro this month. He said this when answering a user who asked when the update will be available for EEA and Global users, to which he replied, “should be this month.” But the global users already received the update, meaning we’re likely to see those in Europe start receiving the update this month.
For those that have been anxiously waiting for the update, it’s now obvious that the company has plans of rolling out the update, more interestingly, this month. We advise that you wait patiently for the update to start seeding, which we believe should be in the coming days, considering that other regions have already bagged the update.
And once the update goes live, it would mean that Xiaomi has finalized MIUI 12 rollout for the Redmi Note 9 Pro, which is commendable. The next should be the arrival of the Android 11 update, but going with how the company managed the Android 10 rollout, we might start seeing the update mid next year.
Nevertheless, we hope for it not to take that long, but one certain thing is that the device will eventually receive the Android 11 update. Having debuted running stable Android 10, it automatically qualifies for the next one.
