Xiaomi will officially introduce the MIUI 12.5 tomorrow in an event, which will see the Mi 11 series make their debut. As expected, the company has communicated its plans to bring onboard users for the MIUI 12.5 beta program. The application is open to anyone, but you must meet certain conditions. You should read below and learn how to register for MIUI 12.5 beta program.
How to register for MIUI 12.5 beta program
Proceed if you’re running the Chinese ROM (CN) on your Xiaomi phone and if your device isn’t among those listed below.

- Step 1. Download and register on WeChat if you don’t have an account
- Step 2. Follow MIUI’s official account on WeChat. Use the WeChat search to find the official MIUI account.
- Step 3. Click on “Early Fresh Experience” below after following the account to participate in registration
- Step 4. Follow the on-screen prompts to obtain the application link. Fill in the application code, your device model number, and other required information, and submit your application.
- Step 5. If your application is successful, you will receive a development version of MIUI 12.5 after the press conference tomorrow
- Step 6. Upgrade your device to the new version according to the tutorial on the upgrade page

Note:
- You can only obtain and use one application code for one Mi Account. Hence, it’s important to choose your device model carefully.
- Read the tutorial instructions on the upgrade page carefully
- The update may be temporarily unable to download due to large applicants. You should try later if you encounter any problem
- MIUI 12.5 release plan will be updated after the press conference
According to Xiaomi, registration will start on December 28 at 0.00. Those whose applications were successful will receive the MIUI 12.5 development ROM after the press conference tomorrow. Unfortunately, the Mi 9 Pro 5G, Mi CC9 / Mi 9 Lite, Mi CC9 Meitu Edition, Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G/ Mi 10T Lite/ Mi 10i, Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 9 4G, Redmi 9T, Redmi 9 Power won’t be participating in the beta program. Those models are currently testing Android 11 and will receive the MIUI 12.5 beta update much later.
Check for the supposed list of Xiaomi phones to receive the MIUI 12.5 update. The official list will be released tomorrow.
