It is a gaming-centric device, and you should get one if you’re a gamer. POCO F3 display
Arguably the best POCO F3 specs; the display. It sports a 6.67-inch E4 AMOLED display of 1080 x 2400p resolution. The panel refreshes at 120Hz and features a touch sampling rate of 360Hz. The display @features 1300nits brightness, and with the True color, it will always display accurate colors. Also, there’s support for HDR10+ to make each streaming and gaming session a great experience. For protection, the device uses a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for both the back and front panel.
POCO F3 Performance
Under the hood is Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC. It has a prime core clocked at 3.2GHz, and with the LPDDR5 RAM, processing time has been enhanced. It is a 7nm SoC, meaning it is a more efficient processor than the predessesor. Hence you will get ample time (up to 2 days) in a single charge.
The Adreno 650 GPU coupled with the high-performance display will improve your gaming experience with the POCO F3. There is a Game Turbo feature to customize individual games, but the device lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack. Instead, it features dual stereo speakers and X-axis linear motor. Outside-of-the-box, you get Android 11 on top of MIUI 12 with the POCO launcher flavor.
POCO F3 camera
The camera on the POCO F3 didn’t impress as the device features a primary 48MP sensor. It is accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide angle-lens and a 5MP macro shooter, while the front camera is equipped with a 20MP sensor. The primary sensor can only shoot 4k@30fps and slo-mo at 960fps. There’s what POCO calls One-Click video modes: Magic Zoom, Slow Shutter, Time freeze, Night Time-lapse, Parallel Word, and Freeze Frame. Interestingly, there’s what POCO calls Zoom Audio at the camera bump. It helps to amplifier the sound when you have to zoom in shooting a video.
POCO F3 battery and security
With all the features of the POCO F3 comes a great demand for power. Although, that is partially taken care of by equipping the device with a power-efficient processor. However, the company sees the need to fit the device with a beefy 4520mAh battery with 33W fast charge support. It takes 52 minutes for a full charge, and that can last 10 hours on gaming.
The device makes use of a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, although the screen supports an in-display fingerprint scanner. It has been optimized to unlock your device in a fraction of seconds, plus other features integrated into it.
POCO F3 price and availability
The POCO F3 price starts at €349 (~$415) for the base 6/128GB model, while the 8/256GB variant sets you back €399 (~$475). It will be available in Midnight Black, Arctic White, and Deep Sea Blue starting from March 26. You can purchase from Amazon, AliExpress, and the official POCO website.
