After much anticipation and followed by a series of tests, Xiaomi started pushing Android 11 to the Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro a couple of days ago. The update has arrived in Europe and for those running global ROM on a limited rollout. That has been the approach of rolling out MIUI updates to limit any damage that could arrive. And going by reports from multiple sources, the latest Android 11 update for the Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro had a negative effect on the device performance.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro Android 11 issues isn’t affecting everyone that has upgraded. On the official Telegram group, a good number of people claim the update works fine. Of course, there were a few bugs and lag initially, but some had the device working after performing a factory reset. To date, performing a factory reset after a cross-section Android upgrade is one way to get it working. But unless the issues are not disturbing your daily operation, you can wait for the next OTA, and hopefully, it will fix all the below Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro Android 11 issues.
Supposed Xiaomi Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro Android 11 issues
According to multiple sources, here are some of the issues faced by Mi 10T/Pro users. But it looks like most of these issues are faced by people using a third-party launcher. If you’re among, you might switch to the MIUI system launcher and see if there’s any difference in the device performance. Meanwhile, below are the issues faced
- The random crashing of some apps
- Delayed fingerprint response time
- Extended charging time when the screen is on
- Random touchscreen issues
- Fullscreen gestures not working, but this may be down to third-party launchers
- The overall performance of the device is abysmal
Again, you can resolve some of these issues by simply switching to the MIUI system launcher if you’re using a third-party launcher. Also, a factory reset can do that for you but backup your file to a safe location. And if both options couldn’t fix the issues for you, wait for the next stable update. Unfortunately, we don’t know when to expect the next OTA, but it should be soon.
