Xiaomi has started pushing the MIUI 12.5 update to the Redmi Note 8. The rollout, as usual, started in China only a couple of days ago, and it should arrive on global models soon. Perhaps, that’s the reason for a new Android 11-based MIUI 12 for Redmi Note 8 in Europe to prepare the device ahead of the planned upgrade. However, it is a limited rollout, but it will be available for the public soon.
The Redmi Note 8 isn’t upgrading to MIUI 12.5 update just yet. It’s because the device received Android 11 first, unlike the Redmi Note 8 Pro that received both builds simultaneously. Also, it seems the rollout was suspended, probably due to a bug, but with the new update, they have restarted the deployment. Hence, if you’re yet to receive a new OS update on your Redmi Note 8 with EEA ROM, you will get one in the coming days.
The update is seeding with a version number – MIUI 12.0.3.0 RCOEUXM. It is probably the last build before the upgrade to MIUI 12.5 since the update has been released in China. We recommend that you install the new build to increase system security and fortify your device ahead of the planned MIUI 12.5 upgrade.
That said, you can keep an eye on our tracker page to know when the update becomes available in your region. For now, there’s no ETA, but we expect the rollout in the coming weeks. And if you run the EEA ROM, you can download the current build via the links below.
