Xiaomi MIUI, like other Android skin out there, has its flaws, and with each stable release, more issues are detected and reported. To track these issues, the company discusses them in its weekly bug report, which is currently on Vol.54. The problems that were discussed this time include the Mobile Legend FC issues on Redmi 9, Redmi 9T video playback problems, the calendar not showing any details in Redmi 8A Pro, and reboot issues with Redmi Note 10 5G.
According to the feedback team, the problem with Mobile Legend FC on Redmi Note 9 / Redmi 9, which is affecting the Indonesian ROM users, is not a system problem. Apparently, there’s no problem on the log, meaning it is not associated with the latest MIUI RJCIDXM and MIUI 12.5.1.0 RJOIDXM builds. This game restarting when a user chooses a hero means the game process doesn’t exist. Hence, the issue should be reported to the developers.
The screen blinking during video playback on the Redmi 9T has been confirmed, and a fix rolled out to few users. Affected builds include V12.0.1.0.RJQMIXM, V12.0.1.0.RJQIDXM, V12.0.1.0.RJQTRXM, V12.0.1.0.RJQTWXM. If you’re facing the said issue on your Redmi 9T, you’ll get a fix with the next OTA rollout.
Also, the Redmi Note 10 5G users are experiencing a random reboot. The issue seems to be affecting those on MIUI 12.0.2.0 RKSEUOR. Fortunately, the root cause, which is the lack of kernel 4.14 on the device baseline platform MT6833, has been detected, and a fixed build sent out to seven users already. According to their feedback, there hasn’t been a recurrence.
The weekly bug report also highlighted the calendar not showing any events on Redmi 8A Pro. It started after the recent upgrade to MIUI 12.5, but it seems to be affecting few users. The cause of the problem is yet to be confirmed, but the company is making progress with that. Hopefully, the new update will address some of these problems.
