Qualcomm promised to release affordable 5G SoCs. They’ve since added a handful of them to the already existing list, including the entry-level Snapdragon 480 5G. The Snapdragon 695 5G is the latest 600 series SOC to support 5G. According to Qualcomm, the SoC boost of 30% improved performance compared to the predecessor.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 5G uses Kryo 660 CPU, which offers a 16% improvement over the predecessor. It’s a 6nm process SOC and packs a speed of 2.2GHz while supporting Quick Charge 4+ technology that gives you 50% battery charge in 15 minutes. It’s evident in Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G, which runs the SD 695 SOC.
Of course, Snapdragon 695 phones will support a 5G connection. The SoC features mmWave and Sub-6 GHz for congested urban and remote locations, respectively. Interestingly, the 2×2 Wi-Fi will improve the user’s gaming experience, while Adreno 619 – now 30% faster takes care of color and graphics rendering.
Behind the camera performance of Snapdragon 695 phones is the Qualcomm Spectra 346T Triple ISP. It supports a triple 13MP sensor at 30fps or Dual 16MP camera sensors. The SoC can also house a single 32MP shooter or 108MP while featuring Multi-Frame Noise Reduction, HEIC photo capture, HEIF photo capture, Zero shutter lag. The maximum on-device display for Snapdragon 695 phones is capped at FHD+ (1080 X 2520).
Qualcomm has equipped the Snapdragon 695 with the X51 modem. It has a peak download speed of 800Mbps on LTE speed and up to 2.6Gbps on 5G. The upload speed reaches 1.5Gbps on 5G networks and 210Mbps on LTE. There’s support for Beidou, Galileo, GLONASS, NavIC, GPS, QZSS, NFC, USB-C, and others.

Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G
The Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G is the first Redmi phone to feature the Snapdragon 695 5G SOC. Of course, it features almost all the features listed above inside an 8.1mm thick body. The device measures 6.67-inch diagonally, and it’s an AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. It draws power from a 5000mAh battery with 67W fast charge support, and you check the full specs here.
iQOO U5
The iQOO U5 is another Snapdragon 695 phone but misses out on many of the SoC features. It has the charging speed capped at 18W, although it uses a 120Hz refresh LCD IPS panel. The device packs a 5000mAh battery with only two cameras – 50MP + 2MP – sensors at the back.
Moto G71
Motorola tries to let the Snapdragon 695 inside the Moto G71 reach its potential. They equipped the device with a 30W fast charging, 50MP primary sensor, and a 5000mAh battery. It’s an AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution.
Honor X30
The first Snapdragon 695 phone was the Honor X30. It features a tall 6.81-inch IPS LCD panel that refreshes at 90Hz. There’s a total of four cameras – three at the back and one on the front panel, and it’s a primary 48MP at the back. It’s a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, while a 4800mAh battery provides power. The device runs Android 11 on top of Magic UI 5.0 and supports 67W fast charging.
