A new MIUI security app update is available. Download below…
With the announcement of the MIUI 13, Xiaomi renamed what’s formally known as ‘Smart Toolbox‘ to ‘Sidebar’. It’s a function that allows users to access their frequently used apps while gaming or watching movies. Before the MIUI 13 release, the feature was limited to Chinese ROM users, although few global users had it working with some tweaks. However, there has been a new improvement on the function, which allows it to be moved to different positions.
Perhaps, the MIUI sidebar could only sit on the right or left side of the screen, where you have to tap and hold it, and then pull it out to access the functions. While you still need to do all these to use your favorite apps or reply to messages while gaming and watching videos, it’s now possible to move the sidebar to different positions. Interestingly, this works even when the phone is in a vertical state.
However, you have to be running the latest version of the MIUI security app to access the new function. Although the V6.1.0-220218.0.1 is for Chinese ROM users, you can get to work on your global device. To do that, follow the below process carefully, and you do get it working for you.
