POCO, for years, has claimed to be an independent brand, but from what we have seen, it’s only another Xiaomi sub-brand. Their device still comes pre-installed with MIUI on top of Android, and they’re currently receiving the latest iteration of MIUI. The update is coming late, as the Redmi K40, which is the Chinese version of the POCO F3, received the build months ago. However, it’s better late than never, and perhaps, the bugs reported by early adopters have been fixed on this one.
The POCO F3 Android 12-based MIUI 13 update is seeding with a version number – MIUI 13.0.3.0 SKHEUXM. It’s exclusive to the users in Europe, given the version number, and comes in a 3.2GB package. Supposedly, the update has revamped the control center, introduced new wallpapers, widgets, and sidebar. Aside from the additions, the Android security patch level has been pushed to February 2022 to increase security while the Android OS is on Version 12.
According to Xiaomi, the latest iteration of MIUI has improved system performance and stability. That looks like it, as we saw reports of few bugs compared to when MIUI 12.5 was released. Hence, we recommend installing the POCO F3 Android 12-based MIUI 13 update when prompted. Meanwhile, the update is limited to Mi Pilots currently to give time for preview. We expect the public rollout in the coming days, but you can use the links below to download the ROM.
If you opt-out for manual installation, we recommend backing up your files. Also, this is a cross-section Android upgrade, and you might experience a few bugs after upgrading. Fortunately, these bugs are what you can cope with till the next update starts seeding.
