Samsung Starts Rolling Out One UI 4.1 to Galaxy S21 series

Samsung’s software upgrade cycle has been on a roll. The company first dazzled everyone by releasing Android 12-based One UI 4 months ahead of schedule on several of its premium and flagship smartphones. Following the launch of the Galaxy S22 with One UI 4.1 in February, Samsung revealed earlier this week that the latest version of its skin would be arriving at older Galaxy Fold/Flip, S, Note, and A-series handsets with a slew of new features and tweaks.

In some regions of the world, the update has begun to roll out to the Galaxy Z Fold3, Flip3, and Galaxy S21 series. That’s pretty much cool from the Korean tech company as they look forward to achieving a better user experience on their devices.

What’s New in One UI 4.1?

Samsung highlights several new essential features, most of which are centered on the camera. One UI 4.1 adds support for “Expert RAW,” a special camera mode with DSLR-like features, for high-end smartphones. At the moment, this feature is only accessible on the Galaxy S21 Ultra and S22 series, but it will soon be available on the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Samsung also improved its “Object Eraser” tool in One UI 4.1, as well as automatic photo modifications when sharing images.

You can ensure that anything you send is precisely what you planned by automatically optimizing your images – whether it’s clipping out undesirable areas of screenshots or automatically adjusting the angle. Simply choose an image to share, and if your smartphone recognizes potential improvements, an icon will appear. When you click the icon, the image will be automatically altered, rotated, and cropped before being shared.

This update also expands on Google Duo Live Sharing. It lets you share anything on your screen while on a call while still being able to view the other people on the call.

Finally, Samsung updated its keyboard with One UI 4.1, which includes Grammarly integration. That’s virtually everything we know so far concerning this Samsung update. Let’s keep our fingers crossed as we keep hoping for more updates from Samsung soon.
