Here are the 5 Hidden Android 12 Features You Should Know About

1. Game Mode Dashboard

The Game Mode dashboard is one of Android 12’s most stunning hidden features. To activate the game dashboard, go deep into the settings menu and select the Notifications option. Scroll down to the General section of the new screen, where you’ll need to tap Do Not Disturb. Thereafter, you’ll be taken to a new screen where you’ll tap Schedules.

You’ll then see the Gaming icon. Toggle the gear on to enable the Game mode. If you’re playing a game that supports this feature, you’ll see a dark, transparent arrow on the right side of your screen.

2. Audio-coupled haptic effect

While haptic feedback isn’t new to smartphones, Android 12 is attempting to join the bandwagon by making it more intriguing and useful for the ordinary user. If you’re unfamiliar with the term “haptic feedback,” it refers to little vibrations that can help make digital interfaces feel more tactile.

For instance, when you text on the screen keyboard, if you have haptic feedback turned on, you’ll get a small vibration when you press a letter, which is meant to simulate typing on a physical keyboard.

3. One-Handed Mode

The one-handed mode allows you to pull the top half of the screen down to the lower half of the screen for simpler navigation with only a tap or slide. You’ll need to go to your settings menu to enable this.

Then, near the bottom, swipe down and tap System. Then press gestures, then One-handed mode. You’ll be taken to a screen containing a few options. You can choose between “Pull screen into reach” and “One-handed mode shortcut.”

4. Material You

If you’re talking about one of the darling features of Android 12, Material You is virtually ahead. With Material You, you’ll be able to customize the look of your phone’s interface by changing your wallpaper or modifying a few settings while the rest is handled automatically. Material You’s main feature is the way it creates a system-wide color scheme based on your wallpaper that can be synced across many devices to provide a unique visual experience.
