Xiaomi might be planning on announcing the next iteration of MIUI four months after the release of MIUI 13. The company has been pushing new features to closed beta testers in China, which will likely debut with its next major update. It seems to be a point upgrade (MIUI 13.5), and with the new logo now seen online, the company might introduce its next MIUI update in the coming weeks or months.
The current MIUI 13 build is still seeding to eligible users. Only a handful of phones have received the update globally, with the company recently announcing the second and third phase for global and Chinese users, respectively. Perhaps, they look to finalize the rollout to focus on the next big thing, but that wouldn’t stop the development of MIUI 13.5, which the logo has now surfaced online.
Details of the new Xiaomi MIUI logo
According to Xiaomiui, the new MIUI logo that represents MIUI 13.5 was seen in the official Mi code. The logo is slightly different from MIUI 13, with the ‘3’ also looking like ‘5’. The paint job is different. Xiaomi used blue and purple, and considering the pink, yellow, and orange used for the MIUI 13 logo design, it seems the next iteration of MIUI will be more stable.
Perhaps, Xiaomi will be releasing a more stable version of MIUI 13 with the point upgrade. The changes are expected to be on system improvements and performance. Also, we have seen some virtual changes and new features arrive for closed beta testers in China and will believe it would be part of MIUI 13.5.
Meanwhile, there hasn’t been any official news about the MIUI 13.5. But with the recent developments, we believe the company will soon release the update, at least in China. While we wait for the official announcement, you can check if your device will get the MIUI 13.5 update here.
