Samsung is ahead of Google in rolling out security patch updates. The company has already dispatched the current patch to its Galaxy S22 series phones, which are now getting a new camera update. It brought some improvements and bug fixes to the camera while patching security and privacy vulnerabilities.
Google recently released the June 2022 security patch bulletin detailing the privacy and security vulnerabilities resolved with the current patch. It ranges from high to critical, with the version dating 2022-06-01 addressing 23, while 2022-06-05 resolved 18 issues. Perhaps, the new Galaxy S22 camera update includes the latter, as the device received the update before the current patch bulletin.
The update is currently seeding for units in South Korea with a software firmware S90xNKSU1AVF1 and weighs 1.7GB. According to a Samsung Spokesperson, the latest Galaxy S22 camera update greatly improved the camera performance.
