One of the main platforms in the Metaverse, Whatsapp, has been getting a lot of attention considering the different updates coming to the software. Adding to the already rolled out tweaks, a new Whatsapp feature is coming in and it is going to allow voice notes on status, quite impressive from the Meta boss.
The feature bringing in the voice notes on status will bump up the version of the software to v2.22.16.3. It is quite impressive because you will get to share a voice note on your status given the initiation of a voice icon in the Status section similar to that found in your chat section. Looking at the screenshot shared in the article, you’ll notice the icon at the bottom right corner of your status section.
As usual, the voice note will be shared with the contacts allowed to see your status according to how you set your privacy settings. Sadly, this feature, which allows for voice notes on status, is still under development and as such we don’t know when the feature will roll out to beta testers. We’ll keep an eye out for when it’s available and inform you once the update drops.
Other Whatsapp features to hold on to before the release of voice notes on status Whatsapp feature
The Meta boss released the Thumbs Up, Red heart, Face with Tears of Joy, Face with Open Mouth, Crying Face, and Folded Hands Whatsapp message reactions. Coupled with the increase in the group members’ limit by a factor of 2 alongside the rollout of new security methods to avoid Whatsapp scams. The voice note on the status feature together with the animated heart emoji is still expected and will be disbursed soon.
