Here’s the crux of the matter: Microsoft Windows 12 has been scheduled to launch in 2024. This report was according to Windows Central’s Zac Bowden.
Following the usual release of a new Windows once every three years, Microsoft Windows 12 will be coming in 2024 since Windows 11 came in three years before. Meanwhile, the company had some plans other than the Microsoft Windows 12, speaking of the major update supposed to come in next year “Sun Valley 3”, but it seems to be canceled.
What to hold on to before Microsoft Windows 12 comes in 2024
Since Microsoft Windows 12 is coming in 2024, quite far, there are still some goodies left for Windows 11 users to try out. According to sources, the features will be disbursed four times a year. Having spotted the Weather information found in the taskbar early this year, that might just be the tip of the iceberg as regards more features(Moments) coming to Windows 11 version 22H2.
It is a tradition that Microsoft doesn’t wait until a major update arrives before enabling new features, a good example is the Windows subsystem for Android. This makes the brand release even more new features having dispersed major updates. That said, there seems to be a change in Microsoft’s new version rollout.
Having introduced Windows 10 in 2015 with two new major versions following after, Windows 11 seems to be different given the turn of events. However, since there isn’t any official announcement from Microsoft, the assumptions should be taken with a pinch of salt.
