The Android 13 is almost here as sources had earlier related that it will be coming in next month. We’ve had four betas of this software with improvements and introduction of new features in every quarter. That said, let’s take a look at the Android 12 distribution numbers as the Android 13 is in sight.
Android 12 distribution numbers: statistics
Google has updated the statistics for the Android 12 distribution numbers and it has been revealed that Android 12 is currently running on 13.3% of devices. Google last updated the Android Platform via Android studio on May 9. Of course, the addition of the Android 12 distribution numbers has to come before the launch of Android 13 and this wasn’t available four months ago.
9to5google has a pie chart representation of the Android distribution numbers once they are released every month and they related that Android 12 and above was on approximately 6.6% of devices, although this wasn’t verified by Android studio. However, it has the same data provided by the Big G and also the same used by Android studio.
Analysis of 9to5google chart shows that in May, Android 12 distribution numbers were also included with Android 12L and Android 13 beta all taking about 6.7%. Meanwhile, the August chart shows that .2% goes to Android 12L of which was predicted that the Android 12 distribution numbers were merged with Android 11.
Furthermore, Android 11 is the most used Android version, currently at 27% from 23.8% in May. Android 10 and Android 9 take 22.3% and 14.5% respectively.
The Big G obtained this data from devices that opened Play Store during a specific period of seven days. The brand released figures in October 2018, May 2019, April 2020, November 2021, and May 2022. Ever since we don’t get updates on any website except via Android studio.
