The Korean tech giant, Samsung, had rolled out interesting features in the past to the S22 – speaking of the Expert Raw and Hyperlapse – which brought enhanced photography to the smartphone. However, adding to those previously seeded, the Galaxy S22 series is receiving another new camera feature.
What’s the new camera feature on the S22?
The new camera feature has to do with Hyperlapse video mode. This feature has previously received a tweak which was adding the mode to the 3x option adding to the wide angle and the ultra-wide angle options plus the Astro Hyperlapse mode which is a cool feature that enables users to view the aesthetic setting of the night sky. But it seems that isn’t enough.
Users took to the Community forums to express the need for new features – shutter speed, ISO, white balance and focus – while in Hyperlapse mode. A few Samsung camera developers responded that they’re working on new features that will help manipulate the Hyperlapse mode well and they are preparing on adding it.
Sadly, the period when the new camera feature is to be released wasn’t revealed. However, luckily, this camera feature will not be coming in via a new firmware, like with the OneUI 5 or OneUI 4.1.1, rather it will be a separate camera update which will be rolling out anytime soon. And with S22 being the first in line for this update, the Korean tech giant will be generous enough to roll it out to other Galaxy smartphones while the S23 series will probably get it out of the box.
