Finally, the Google Pixel 7 series has been released after so much anticipation. The Pixel 7 features both hardware and software are useful and quite amazing. What’s more amazing is that while hardware features cannot be replicated, some Google Pixel 7 features (software) will be making their way to the Google Pixel 6 in the coming weeks.
According to Google via PhoneArena, the impressive software features will be coming to the Pixel 6 via future feature drops later on. Now, let’s take a look at what we should be expecting.
Which Google Pixel 7 features are coming to the Pixel 6?
Okay, first off, Google mentioned a Clear calling feature arriving in Google Pixel phones with the Tensor of which category the Google Pixel 6 series fall in. This is one of the interesting Google Pixel 7 features. The Clear Calling feature – as the name goes – will help clear background noises while making calls even via Google Meet and other video calling services. What’s more, is that the brand will be adding “silence” as a hot word to end incoming calls.
Then we have the Guided Frame from the Google Pixel 7’s camera. Via the Guided Frame, Google puts those with visual impairment into consideration when integrating the camera functions. This feature helps users with visual impairment take good selfie pictures using audio cues.
An audio cue guides the user to position well in the right frame and another audio cue confirms when the selfie has been taken. Still dependent on the Tensor, there’s the Real tone filter which will boost the quality of pictures on the older Pixel 6 series. Then shifting attention from the Tensor is the At a Glance feature – for “additional flight information” – and then the Audio message transcription.
Sadly, one of the Google Pixel 7 features that might not roll out on the Pixel 6 series is the Face Unlock feature. Google Pixel 6 users have been expecting a better experience from Face Unlock and we hope Google changes their mind.
