Another piece of tech from Xiaomi after releasing a premium smartphone – the Xiaomi 12T series. It’s the Xiaomi Redmi Writing Pad, not much of an Android tablet but can be useful for kids and adults who like to express themselves in writing.
Features of the Xiaomi Redmi Writing Pad
First off, the Xiaomi Redmi Writing Pad is built with an inexpensive slate on an 8.5″ LCD which doesn’t have light emitting from it to prevent fatigue while using it. According to the brand, it is very similar to a paper – prevention of light emission – and the slate is made of an ABS material weighing about 90g.
Alongside the Xiaomi Redmi, Writing Pad is a pressure-sensitive stylus that weighs about 5g. You can use it to put down different strokes on the pad and it comes with an easy mechanism. When you’re done putting down your strokes and notes – with the stylus – you can simply tap on the orange button on the side to clear or one-tap lock the pad via a button on the side to prevent the content from disappearing.
Sadly, the Xiaomi Redmi Writing Pad doesn’t have the ability to sync content to other devices which would have added to its usefulness, as it will be nice to have some of your content on your smartphone. However, the brand boasts of up to 20000 pages available to write on, thanks to the CR2016 replaceable button cell. Lastly, on pricing, the Xiaomi Redmi Writing Pad will be up for $7/€7 which is INR599 in India, where it’s currently available.
