OnePlus has been rolling out OxygenOS 13 beta builds to its eligible phones. The company recently rolled out the update to the OnePlus 9RT and has started deploying the build to the OnePlus 8 series and OnePlus 9R.
The latest OxygenOS 13 beta release is available for the OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, OnePlus 8T, and OnePlus 9R. As expected, it has introduced the Aquamorphic Design, improvements, optimizations, and new features.
Meanwhile, there are some issues with the build, which is not surprising, given it’s a beta build. For the OnePlus 8 series users, installing this update means:
- Abnormal display of charging prompt under screenshot. Also,
- The video below 300K resolution recorded by the camera cannot be sent via MMS.
- More function icons in the editing interface of the control center are displayed incorrectly.
Meanwhile, before installing the OxygenOS beta on your OnePlus 8, OnePlus 8 Pro, and OnePlus 8T, make sure you’re running the latest OxygenOS 12 version (C.35). Of course, a 30% battery level and 5.5 GB of free storage.
OnePlus 9R users are expected to encounter the same issues after upgrading their device to the latest OxygenOS build. They must also be on the latest OxygenOS 12 version (C.35) before they can install the build.
For now, only those in India are eligible, as there are still a few adjustments to be made before it can become available in Europe and other regions. However, we don’t expect that to take too long. We anticipate other regions to start getting the update in the coming weeks. You can follow us on Telegram to know when the update becomes available in your country.
