The usual monthly rollout of security patches is a conventional move from Google, however, there is a bit of change in the November 2022 security patch for Pixel phones in terms of the Pixel phones getting the update.
The first update for the Pixel 7 series will be arriving alongside the November 2022 security patch while the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL are left out of this rollout. Via the November 2022 security patch, Google has resolved 19 security issues dated 01/11/2022 and 26 dated 05/11/2022, all of which range from moderate to critical.
According to the recent Android Security & Privacy Year in Review, the Big G notes that “no critical security vulnerabilities affecting the Android platform were publicly disclosed without a security update or mitigation available for Android devices.” Meanwhile, the dedicated security bulletin for Google Pixel phones highlights five additional security fixes in the November 2022 security patch for the Pixel 7 series(which also gets a global and Verizon build)
