The Pixel 7 series which was long anticipated has been released about a month ago. The smartphone brings a lot of features and even (according to Google) the best picture and video quality yet on Pixel. But while most Pixel users are enjoying this smartphone design and software features, some might want to try out this new custom ROM for Pixel 7 series.
The closest we’ve had to a new custom ROM for Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro is the LineageOS 20, however that’s still under development and cannot be declared official just yet. Thanks to Paranoid Android, we have the new custom ROM for Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.
Via this Android 13 custom ROM, you get to “free your Pixel 7” while getting in on interesting tweaks alongside the November 2022 security patch. Also, you get Face Unlock, although the fingerprint sensor is still having some issues when in 1080p display mode.
That said, according to 9to5google, the new custom ROM for Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro( Paranoid Android Topaz Beta 1) is still in the beta phase so you should tread with caution and you shouldn’t expect that the update wouldn’t come flooding on Pixel phones this early – probably Paranoid Android will watch for issues and get feedback to improve the software.
Furthermore, it is worth noting that the Android Topaz Beta 1 is available via OTA and you can get links to download this new customer ROM for Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro by following the link at the end of this article. Meanwhile, Paranoid Android has got more surprises up its sleeve.
More than the new custom ROM for Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro
Paranoid Android also released the Topaz Beta 2 update for the Pixel 6 series as well as the Alpha 3 update for the Nothing phone 1. Within the software for the two smartphones, there is the Face Unlock feature(which one will think is exclusive to the Pixel 7 series). Also, the custom ROMs include some Android 13 features and fixes under the hood. You can get links to download them as well by following the link below.
