All you just have to do is scan the QR code. Meanwhile, some users might not necessarily want to link a Tablet(rather another Android smartphone) to the primary phone with the WhatsApp account. Luckily, you can trick your primary smartphone into believing that the phone you want to link to is a tablet. Let’s walk you through how you can have one Whatsapp on two phones.

Steps to have one Whatsapp on two phones

Step 1

Ensure the primary phone with the WhatsApp account has WhatsApp version 2.22.25.8. to get the update, you can simply follow the link at the end of the article.

Step 2

On the second phone, you want to link to, simply enable developer options. This can be done by Navigating to About phone, Build number and tapping multiple times till it displays” you are now a developer”

Step 3

This is where the “tricking” is applied. Navigate to “Smallest Width” in the Developer options or simply use the search option to find it. Having done that, edit the digit there to 600. This should give your smartphone a Tablet UI.

Step 4

Ensure WhatsApp 2.22.25.8 is installed on the second phone

Step 5

Open Whatsapp, select a language and Agree to the terms and conditions. You’ll notice a Link on your phone screen with a unique QR code. If you didn’t see this, it will mean the trickery didn’t work. Not to worry, go back to step three and increase the digit there.

Step 6

Move to your primary phone, Tap on Linked devices> Link a device. You’ll be provided with a QR scanner which you will use to scan the code on the second smartphone.

After all these protocols, you can go back to your second phone and switch the Smallest Width back to what it was. And that’s all there is to it. You’ll be able to handle just anything on the secondary smartphone. You now have one Whatsapp on two phones and you’ll notice read messages, calls and all that on both devices. However, you’ll be able to unlink the devices via the primary phone only.
