Twitter has been pulling much attention since the unpredictable Elon Musk got hold of the social media platform. The Twitter CEO made a lot of changes on the platform (generally) that caused upset around the globe. Twitter Blue for iPhone was an $8 per month rate and this package included the blue, verified checkmark.
However, soon after this change took effect on Twitter Blue for iPhone, some users around the globe falsely verified themselves and posed as public figures and corporations – then Twitter Blue for iPhone got suspended. While Twitter Blue was paused for a while, Elon Musk disputed Apple’s “secret 30% tax” which he taught was secret (for a reason we can’t make out) and also taunted the brand for not advertising on the platform.
New pricing of Twitter Blue on iPhone
After the whole shenanigans, Twitter CEO has decided to bring back Twitter Blue and with a little tweak to the pricing, according to sources. The blue tick verification will cost $7/month if you sign up via the web, however, it will cost $11/month if you sign up via your iPhone Twitter app.
This move from the CEO will offset Apple’s 30% tax and should make people sign up via the web rather than the iPhone Twitter app(since most users have always tried to avoid paying that tax). Meanwhile, we had earlier reported that it seemed Twitter was getting removed from App Store’s Marketplace.
We further mentioned that Elon Musk might be cooking up a Tesla phone(of which there’s the machinery and software to kick-start the process). But now(according to sources), Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO and Elon met at Apple Park and concluded that there was a misunderstanding as regards the removal of Twitter from the App Store marketplace.
