As usual, leaks and rumours will be surfacing online as we anticipate the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series. Well, we’ve got another leak and this is proposing that the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra might be taking on a flat screen design.
Flat screen design for the Galaxy S23 Ultra – possible reasons
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, the predecessor to the expected smartphone is quite sleek as regards display. It’s a curved display and its appearance makes the smartphone look like it has slim bezels. Furthermore, it makes the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra comfortable to hold, however, there are some shortcomings.
The S22 Ultra now supports the S-pen and the smartphone’s curved display comes in the way of a smooth experience with the S-Pen. Most users mentioned that a flat screen will be more convenient to use with the S-pen – but that’s not all. Some users mentioned that the S22 Ultra gets frequent distorted light around the display which makes it have some sort of glaring problem.
Lastly, a curved display gets damaged easily compared to a flat screen. Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra might take up a flat screen design in response to these complaints, according to leaker Ahmed Qwaider. He supported this claim with some renders created by Technizo Concept so you get a visual of what he’s talking about. Ahmed mentions further that the flat screen design is for a better S-pen experience.
That said, looking at the renders, it’s a bit off from what we’ve seen from other renders in the past. Also, a popular tipster, Ice Universe, doesn’t totally agree with this set of renders. But for the flat screen design, the Korean tech giant might be trying to implement that since it will boost more sales and the complaints of users will be attended to.
