Here’s the crux of the matter: the Sony Xperia 10 IV Android 13 update is now available. This update, which has a build number of 65.1.A.4.8, is currently being rolled out to the Asian dual-SIM variant of the device (model number XQ-CC72) in Southeast Asia. This follows the release of Android 13 for the Xperia 5 IV, Xperia 1 III, Xperia 5 III, and Xperia Pro-l last month.
Unfortunately, users of the Xperia 10 IV in other regions may have to wait for the Android 13 update to become available for their devices. Sony is expected to roll out the update soon, but at the moment, there is no confirmed release timeline. We will update this information as soon as more details become available regarding the availability of the Sony Xperia 10 IV Android 13 update in other regions.
What’s new?
From the features we’ve seen earlier on smartphones with the Android 13 – although there are more additions from some Android OEMs – you can tell what to expect from the Sony Xperia 10 IV Android 13 update. You should expect a new UI, new customizations and other personalization features. But in addition to all these, Sony has integrated the December security patch to bump up the security level of the smartphone.

Once your Xperia 10 IV variant receives the stable Android 13 release, you will receive a notification for an over-the-air (OTA) update. Before installing the update, it’s recommended to back up your data and make sure your phone is charged to at least 60% to avoid any potential issues during the update process. If you don’t want to wait for the OTA notification to arrive, you can manually check for the update by going to the “Software update” section in the device settings.
