Some weeks ago, we mentioned something about the Twitter Blue subscription and a little detail about how much it was going to cost – well, it’s finally available. The Twitter Blue subscription, otherwise known as the blue tick or checkmark will cost $11 per month which is similar to the iOS and then 35 percent more than the cost of the web version.
The reason for the high fees of Twitter Blue subscription is still uncertain but by the look of things, it seems the brand wants the users to pay the fees for in-app purchases supposed to be paid by the brand, itself to the Play Store.
Benefits of Twitter Blue subscription
The Twitter Blue users will be getting a few features that will be making the Twitter Blue subscription worth it. First off, the brand is making available the ability to edit tweets for users who engage in this subscription. There’s also the priority ranking for replies, a 60 minutes cap to upload videos, the customer app icons, easier navigation of bookmarked tweets, and an option for a different app theme.
Not to mention the availability of a customisable navigation bar and the ability to make the thread reading experience enjoyable and smooth- although these two features are exclusive to mobile. The users in the US, UK, Japan, Canada, Australia and New Zealand will get to enjoy this feature first with a very high probability of it extending to other regions in the coming weeks. While some will consider the payment high, it seems the CEO is offering some features that might be worth the price tag.
