February 2022 security patch for Pixel phones starts rolling out

The February 2022 security patch for Pixel phones is rolling out to a vast majority of Pixel smartphones – Pixel 4a, 4a 5G, 5, 5a, 6, 6 Pro, 6a, 7, and 7 Pro. The Android 13 February patch dated 2023-02-01 resolves 17 security problems and the 2023-02-05 patch resolves 23. The severity of vulnerabilities ranges from high to critical.

According to Google’s most current Android Security & Privacy Year in Review, “no serious security vulnerabilities impacting the Android platform were publicly published with no security fix or mitigation available for Android devices.” Furthermore, there was an 84% year-over-year increase in security fixes during Q4 2018 compared to the previous year.
