All seasoned punters have a hold on their money management. One of the industry’s most basic rules is to keep a detailed record of the amount of money that’s going into each bet, and for how long that money will be tied up. For example, live bets will see almost immediate conclusions, while a futures bet will often see a wager held up for months.

Clearly, there’s more for bettors to consider than how much to wager, as they’ll also have to consider future bets, payouts, and losses before understanding how well they’ve done for a given time period.

Today, newcomers will also need to consider free bet requirements. For example, free bets run the gambit from risk-free wagers to deposit free bets, which will also need to be weighed by bettors during financial planning.

In the past, these records were kept by a simple pen and paper; some also incorporated envelopes. But today, many bettors have looked to mobile budgeting apps to help them build out their wagering goals and carefully keep track of how their bets are performing.

Think you might benefit from a little added help? Keep reading for three great options for iOS and Android, available today.

Top Three Apps for Betting Budgeting

Mint

Mint was designed by the company behind Intuit, which is a product related to QuickBooks, one of the world’s leading bookkeeping programs. As such, Mint knows how to make budgeting easy for anyone. As a bonus, the interface is easy to use.

Mint lets users track their spending and income by linking accounts. Users can manually build out spending goals, which Mint then categories and monitors, sending handy reminders anytime bills are due or budgeting plans aren’t met.

Top Three Apps for Betting Budgeting

Zeta

Typically, Zeta is marketed for couples. However, its robust features are also great for single users. The app’s account linking makes it easy for users to track their monthly spending in relation to their total net worth and other budgeting goals.

In other words, Zeta provides handy overviews of a user’s financial situation. Once again, users can create a category specific to their sports betting expenditure. Zeta has other added features, such as bill pay, which makes it popular as a free service.

PocketGuard (Basic Version)

Bettors with a fear of overspending can take advantage of PocketGuard’s free version, which lets them see their entire cash flow at any given time. Like Mint and Zeta, bank syncing makes this simple, and the app comes with added features like deposit tracking and everyday expense estimates.

One of the most useful features is the app’s budget suggestions. Rather than just tracking spending, PocketGuard will also make suggestions about how to optimize finances to protect savings and set aside a few extra spending dollars each month.
