Xiaomi released the Redmi Note 9 Pro MIUI 14 update hours after the upgrade arrived on the Redmi Note 9S. Both upgrades are rolling out without a new Android OS, as the devices have elapsed their OS support. They can only get a new iteration of MIUI, which is currently exclusive to Global users.
The Redmi Note 9 Pro debuted with Android 10 on top of MIUI 11. It has received two Android OS upgrades and three iterations of MIUI, and the current rollout makes it four MIUI upgrades since its debut. Perhaps, the latest release is the last major update, and we recommend installing it when prompted.
Meanwhile, the Redmi Note 9 Pro MIUI 14 update is seeding with version number MIUI 14.0.3.0 SJZMIXM and weighs 405MB. It brings the February 2023 security patch to increase system security and advanced search in the settings app.
Also, there’s an introduction of a New Widget Format and Super Icon to improve the device experience. The update resolved bugs and optimized performance. Interestingly, there haven’t been major issues reported after the upgrade, hence, we recommend installing the build.

After the global release, Redmi Note 9 Pro MIUI 14 update is now available in Indonesia. The update is seeding with a version number MIUI 14.0.1.0 SJZIDXM. It brings features of MIUI 14 and bumps the Android security patch level to March 2023. As expected, it has fixed bugs while optimizing performance.
