The business does not appear to be content to rest on its laurels, with a recent report stating that the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 will maintain its class-leading GPU performance.
According to Digital Chat Station, Qualcomm looks to be equipping the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with a substantially more powerful GPU than the Adreno 740 seen in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3’s GPU, probably dubbed the Adreno 750, is predicted to outperform its predecessor by 50%. With the current GPU disparity between the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and A16 Bionic, it appears doubtful that the A17 Bionic will be able to reclaim its performance edge.
Information on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 has progressively surfaced in recent weeks, and current evidence suggests that it will still be inferior to the A17 Bionic in terms of CPU performance, but with a more powerful GPU. The Qualcomm flagship chipset is slated to launch in late October or early November, with OEMs such as Motorola and Xiaomi likely to be the first to use it.
