Over the past months, Xiaomi has improved in its update release. The company now rolls out the latest security patch update to eligible phones. Sometimes, users report bugs after installing the update, and luckily, Xiaomi always tries to resolve these issues. With the MIUI weekly bug report Vol.116, the company has revealed the progress made to fix bugs affecting its phones.
According to the report, some of these bugs are exclusive to certain Xiaomi phones, while few are experienced by everyone running MIUI. The company is already working on a solution, which might take some time to arrive on your device. Below we have outlined all the issues affecting Xiaomi phones as reported in the MIUI weekly bug report.
Every Xiaomi phone user running MIUI currently might not be able to open videos in the Gallery app. Also, some users can’t download pictures/videos from the cloud. For the latter, it seems using Wi-Fi might make a difference, while the latest update addresses the issue on mobile for everyone.
POCO M5S users can’t use their NFC after upgrading to MIUI 13.0.10.0 SFFMIXM/MIUI 13.0.7.0 SFFRUXM. The device recently received an upgrade to Android 13 with a stable MIUI 14, and it seems the issue has been resolved. If you still can’t use NFC, upgrade your device to MIUI 14.
A random reboot is something only Xiaomi Pad users have reported, but it seems POCO X5 5G users are having the same issue. The affected builds are MIUI 14.0.2.0 TMPMIXM/MIUI 14.0.2.0 TMPEUXM. Unfortunately, the issue isn’t resolved, as the company continues to work on the solution.
Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro users can’t seem to install apps from the Google Play store. The issue is affecting users running V14.0.7.0.TMBMIXM, V14.0.2.0.TMBINXM, V14.0.19.0.TMBEUXM, V14.0.4.0.TMCMIXM. Xiaomi didn’t provide any ETA for a fix, but they’re currently working on one.
The YouTube system hanging is another issue affecting Xiaomi phones currently being worked on. It seems exclusive to POCO C50 users running MIUI 13.0.9.0 SGMINXM build. We expect the next update to address these issues and given there’s no ETA, you advise checking the updater app for a new update.
