The Chinese tech giant, Xiaomi, is one of those Android OEMs that have been spectacular in their camera features – take a look at the Xiaomi 13 series. So the Xiaomi 14 Pro camera is a thing to look forward to. Let’s take a look at what will be integrated in the Xiaomi 14 Pro camera – according to sources.
Details of the Xiaomi 14 Pro camera
Based on leaked schematics, the Xiaomi 14 Pro will feature a squarish camera island positioned in the top left corner. Unlike its predecessor, this iteration will house four sensors instead of three. The primary camera will be equipped with a larger sensor, boasting a 50MP 1/1.28″ sensor size, an improvement from the previous 50MP 1/1.49″ sensor.
Accompanying the primary camera, there will likely be a “medium-telephoto” camera, possibly featuring a standard lens with improved optical magnification compared to the Xiaomi 13 model’s 3.2x. The third sensor is expected to be an ultra-wide camera, but the purpose of the fourth sensor remains undisclosed.
Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 14 Pro is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, offering enhanced performance. In terms of storage capacity, this iteration is expected to provide up to 1TB of storage, doubling the capacity of its predecessor. Additionally, the vanilla Xiaomi 14 will feature a 4,860mAh battery, supporting 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, representing an improvement from the previous model’s 4,500mAh battery and 67/50W charging capabilities.
Xiaomi typically unveils its flagship series towards the end of the year, coinciding with the availability of the latest Snapdragon 8 CPU. As a result, the Xiaomi 14 series, including the Pro model, is still several months away from its official launch. While the release of the Ultra variant remains uncertain, Xiaomi fans can eagerly anticipate the improved camera features and other enhancements in the upcoming Xiaomi 14 Pro.
