Xiaomi is working to release the stable Android 14 update to its eligible devices as soon as Google makes it official. The Chinese company already rolled out a stable beta Android 14-based MIUI 14 update to Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro in China. While the global models are still waiting for the update, we understand that more Xiaomi phones have started testing the Android 14-based MIUI 15 update.
About 20 Xiaomi phones are currently testing the Android 14-based MIUI 15 build internally. And since only developers can access the ROM, we might wait till December before beta testers start receiving it. That makes it unclear whether Xiaomi will release Android 14 and MIUI 15 simultaneously, but we doubt they will.
Xiaomi will likely release MIUI 15 in December alongside the Xiaomi 14 series devices. The company already released a stable beta Android 14-based MIUI 14 build, meaning the update is almost ready for the current flagships. Perhaps early adopters will get the new Android OS with MIUI 14 and MIUI 15 in a subsequent update.
While we expect confirmation in the coming weeks, the latest report has confirmed some Xiaomi phones to receive Android 14. These include mid-range and premium phones and the upcoming Redmi K70 phones.
