Audio control issue reported by Android Auto users

Android Auto keeps making the news, and it is always about bugs. The app, since receiving the CoolWalk redesign, has received loads of updates to address reported issues, but it ended up introducing more. That seems to be the case with the recent Audio control issue, although it doesn’t seem exclusive to an Android Auto version.

Audio volume issues

It’s not the first time we have seen reports of Audio issues on Android Auto. A couple of weeks ago, users reported reduced sound quality after answering calls or initiating the voice Assistant. While Google has refused to address that, they will definitely resolve the Audio control issues being reported widely.

According to reports, adjusting the volume while listening to music returns an error message “Audio Paused: volume will not be adjusted.” However, in reality, the audio isn’t paused as it remains in full blast. Unfortunately, the error leaves the volume button unresponsive, and the only way to adjust is to disconnect your device from Android Auto.

The issue is being reported in the AndroidAuto community on Reddit, and efforts are being made to understand the cause. Hopefully, Google will release a fix in the next Android Auto update, which could arrive any time. Meanwhile, not everyone is experiencing the Audio volume issues, but we hope the company addresses it.

For now, there’s no clarification on what is causing the Audio volume issue, but it seems related to the central Audio system, with every Audio application experiencing the same thing. It’s probably a glitch, and hopefully, a fix will arrive soon.
