Xiaomi has quietly released the Android 14 HyperOS update to the Redmi 12 5G. The rollout is available for global and Indian ROM users but exclusive to Mi Pilots members for preview. As always, you can download the Recovery ROM using the link below this post.
After the HyperOS update release to the Redmi 12, Xiaomi is now rolling out the Redmi 12 5G Android 14 HyperOS update to eligible users. It’s limited to Global and Indian users, with other regions expected to start getting the update soon.
Meanwhile, the update is rolling out with a version number OS1.0.3.0.UMWMIXM for global users, while those in India are getting a stable OS1.0.1.0.UMWINXM. Both builds bring all the expected HyperOS features, but only the India units have their Android security patch bumped to February 2024, while global units are on the January 2024 patch.
Of course, the Redmi 12 5G is the same phone as the POCO M6 Pro 5G. It means the latter is also receiving the update in both regions, and you can download the Recovery ROM and flash it using the link below. However, be sure to check out all the reported HyperOS bugs and your bootloader locked before installing the update.
