After announcing the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, Qualcomm has released another Octa-Core processor. The Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 is a more premium version of the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 Soc, as it borrows some features of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 series processors.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 is built on a 4nm process, making it power-efficiency. The SoC uses a 1+4+3 core arrangement, which is a single prime Cortex-X4, 4 performance Cortex-A720 cores, and three Cortex-A520 efficiency cores. Their clock seeps are at 2.8 GHz, 2.6 GHz, and 1.9 GHz, respectively. The SoC supports up to 24 GB LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage.
Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 phones will feature the Snapdragon X63 5G modem with Fast connect 7800 mobile connectivity system and 3GPP Release 17 5G. Thanks to the modem, devices with the chip can reach over 4.2 Gbps on downlink.
In a time when AI is taking over, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 makes sure it debuts with on-device generative AI capabilities. The SoC supports a wide range of LLMs (large language models) and LVMs (large vision models). They include Baichuan-7B, Llama 2, Gemini Nano, and Zhipu VahtGLM.
With the help of AI, Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 phones will deliver better virtual assistance and create amazing content with great efficiency. Of course, there should be a capable display panel to achieve all that. Qualcomm has fitted the latest Soc with up to 4K @ 60 Hz and QHD+ @ 120Hz display support. It supports variable refresh rates from 240 Hz to 1 Hz.
There’s an upgraded Adreno GPU on their Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3, which Qualcomm claims offers a 45% improvement over the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2. It supports Super Resolution, Adreno Frame Motion Engine 2.0 (AFME), Game Post Processing Accelerator, HDR gaming, and Shadow Denoiser.

The first device to feature the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 Soc is the Ace 3V, which will arrive later today. We expect other OEMs like Xiaomi, Realme, Oppo, and others to release a device with the new processor soon.
